Ashby Wesley Church was pleased to welcome Scouts and Guides from across North Lincolnshire at a St George's Day Celebration  on Sunday, April 23, 2017.

St George is the Patron Saint of Scouts & Guides.

Flags from all the sections entered to background music and everyone was given a warm welcome by Mr Peter Jackson.

Our first hymn was Colours of Day.

Mr Jackson gave a prayer of thanksgiving and this was followed by an entertaining Story of St George led by 4th Ashby Group Scout Leader Rob Padley aided by four young Beavers.

We then all stood for the hymn Kum Ba Yah.

Mr Jackson delivered a talk and then voices were heard again for the hymn O Jesus I Have Promised.

Members of the Scout & Guide movements renewed their promises which were followed by votes of thanks led by the District and Division Commissioners.

All stood for One More Step Along The World I Go.

Our event concluded with the congregation singing The National Anthem.

God Save Our Gracious Queen
