President's Plate

1st Kirton are the deserved and worthy winners this year of The President’s Plate — the Sir John Mason Award fo the development of Scouting within the District.
DC Angela Bradley received the plate on behalf of 1st Kirton from District President Tom Nelthorpe at our AGM held in St Vincent’s Hut at Primrose Hill.

Angela later presented the Plate to 1st Kirton at Primrose Hill.

    Bar to the Silver Acorn

    1st & 2nd Brigg’s Christine Hall received the Bar to the Silver Acorn at our District AGM from Deputy County Commissioner Alan Hayward watched by DC Angela Bradley and all those present.
    Silver Acorn - awarded for not less than 20 years of specially distinguished service; Bar to the Silver Acorn may be awarded for at least a further 5 years of similarly distinguished service.
    Christine is also Bookings Secretary Primrose Hill.

      Our recent District AGM was the last as District Commissioner for Angela Bradley who will be retiring from her role later this year.
      Angela has spent 10 years as a DC, first with the former Scunthorpe District and latterly with North Lincolnshire.
      Her untiring hard work was praised by District Chairman Richard Kitchen who presented Angela with a bouquet of flowers and a gift to mark her forthcoming retirement.
      As for her future in Scouting? “Watch this space,” Angela said.
