Warming flames
At Primrose Hill we have several campfire circles, one of which is capable of seating in excess of 300 people!
We are excited to have a brand new main campfire circle, located just off the main field, built by David and other members of the campsite team! We use this fire circle for large events and 'sing song' campfires, so would like to politely remind users of the campsite to avoid using this campfire circle for fire lighting and backwoods cooking sessions. Altar fires should not be used in this area. No unburnt wood should be left in this fire area.
The location of our old main campfire circle, not far from Nelthorpe hut, is ideal for fire lighting and cooking sessions, as well as the campfire circle near St Vincent's hut.
Camping groups are allowed to collect dead fallen wood to use on their fires and there are a number of altar fires dotted around the campsite which may be used as well. Each campfire circle has a fire bucket available, so please ensure this is filled with water before a campfire.
Camp rubbish should be taken away from the site and not burned.
