New County Commissioner Announced: Gary McCune

County Commissioner - Humberside Scout County

I am very pleased to announce that the County Search Group unanimously recommended Gary McCune as the County Commissioner (Designate) for Humberside Scout County. The HQ Appointments Advisory Committee has approved the appointment.

Gary will commence the role from 31 May 2017.

Gary was a Cub Scout Leader before becoming the District Commissioner for the City of Hull following the merger of three districts.

Gary works as a Service Director for Indicoll, a web and digital advertising agency, based in Beverley where he manages projects and digital advertising.

He said, 'I am looking forward to the County Commissioner role. I am keen to involve everyone in the future of Scouting in Humberside. It is my vision to build and develop a team of people shaped to meet the needs of the County that can drive us forward over the coming years. I want to ensure that every young person in Humberside has the opportunity to benefit from life changing adventure that Scouting offers.'

I know that the County will join me in congratulating Gary on his appointment and supporting him as he takes up his new role, as we look beyond 2018 to an exciting future for the Movement.
