North Lincolnshire Scouts Supporting Mission Christmas

This year, as part of our badge day events, Scouts across North Lincolnshire are coming together to make a difference by supporting the Mission Christmas appeal from Cash for Kids.
The appeal helps ensure that children living in poverty don’t miss out on the magic of Christmas, by providing donated gifts to families who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford them. In 2023, nearly 37,000 children across Lincolnshire and Greater Manchester received presents through the scheme, and we’re proud to be playing a small part in helping that number grow.
Instead of charging a fee for our badge days, we’re asking every young person attending to bring one brand-new gift to donate. It’s a simple idea, but one that has the power to bring real joy to children and young people across our communities.
We’ve been especially moved by how our volunteers and young people have embraced the idea. It’s a great example of how Scouting goes beyond badges and activities, and how we’re working together to make a meaningful impact.

If your group isn’t attending one of our badge days but would still like to support the appeal, we’d love to hear from you.

Together, we can help make sure no child wakes up without a gift this Christmas.
