Youth-Shaped Training

It is with great pleasure that I introduce myself as North Lincolnshire's first District Youth Commissioner. I am excited to begin this role and look forward to working with you to deliver Youth Shaped Scouting across the District. There is already some great Youth Shaped Scouting happening so I am keen to share this and develop new ideas. By working in partnership with young people, we can continue to provide exciting adventures for our young people.
The first thing I am doing is running a Youth Shaped training afternoon. It will be on Sunday June 24 from 1pm to 4pm. The training will be tailored to members who are unfamiliar with what Youth Shaped Scouting is and those who have been doing it for some time. I will be sharing new ideas and ways that everyone can ensure their Scouting is Youth Shaped. It is much more than young people picking what they would like on their programme so I will be sharing lots of ways groups can adopt this practice. Everyone is welcome to attend and this includes all sections and executive committees as it shall be relevant to all.
